Giving $100 cash to a billionaire worth $25B while Tesla is $16B in debt won't even buy you an apology.

5:35ish exactly who said it was supposed to be bullet proof glass? The body can stop bullets, no one claimed bullet proof glass as that is an old technology that reacts differently.

Thanks for your thoughts on the Tesla Cybertruck. Now as I tell please today I went to Fort Vancouver High School (WA) and was a Trapper. My dad in fact was a fur trapper. The money he earned help him purchase a Ford model T. Now what my father told me was that vehicles are for getting you from point a to point b. What can I say he grew up on a farm before electricity, or indoor plumbing. For the most part today people own trucks as a life style not because they need one. These are the same type of people who for the most part are going to purchase a Tesla Cybertruck. Thing is as the only vehicle for a small family this may make since as this would give the most flexibility as optional accessories become available. What score the biggest points with me is range, and the fact that it is electric. Anything we can do for cleaner air, and water I am all in.

tbh I would love to go back to a truck design that is built to last rather than built to protect me.

I don't agree with your assessment of the design being too simple looking. Simple usually turns out to be the best thought out design of most things even music. this truck will do everything I need which is tow a 5000 pound boat, camping gear and 4 people comfortably.

Even if it makes it to production, I think the design will hurt sales. Why does it have to be that strong? It's not going into battle. Really cheap though!

Hate to dampen your enthusiasm but those cold-rolled stainless steel panels that also serve as a frame on the Tesla Cybertruck are way too tough to absorb the energy of a collision. The force from the crash will thus pass directly to the driver and passengers. This is why we stopped using chromoly steel in race cars -- the tough steel alloy was killing the drivers. So we went back to mild steel that bends to absorb the force of the impact and save the driver from serious injury or death.

FYI- rear view cameras/screens are accepted in the U.S., but not as the “only” means of a rear view device.

I really don’t think the design looks simplistic or child-like as you’ve said several times. It’s a “form-follows-function” philosophy here. It’s simple, elegant and very functional.
